RENTING A CAR

It is recommended to rent a car for your travels. It is possible to rent a car in San José, Liberia and Cobano, where the airport is located.

An interesting option is to fly from Liberia or San Jose to Cobano (about 30 minutes) and rent a car on site (Budget). The house is located 10 minutes from the airport.

FROM SAN JOSÉ

If you arrive at the San Jose airport,
three options are available to you:

1. By car

Rent a car at the airport.

Travel to Puntarenas to take the ferry to Paquera.

Then take the road to Las Delicias.

Ideally, you should book the ferry in advance in high season. Calculate approximately 4 hours for this journey, plus the wait for the ferry.

2. By water taxi

It is possible to take a shuttle from the San José airport or your hotel to Jaco (Playa Herradura), where a water taxi (speedboat) can transport you and your luggage in an hour directly to Montezuma.

3. By plane

You can take a local plane from San José airport to Cobano, 20-40 minutes flight time.

The house is 10 minutes from Cobano by car.

FROM LIBERIA

If you arrive at Liberia airport:

Rent a car at the airport.

By car, calculate 3h30 to get to the house.

It is also possible to fly to Cobano, and rent your car there.

Casa Higueron is located at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica,

in Las Delicias on the heights facing the picturesque village of Montezuma.
